This April, join pianist and composer Sophie Spargo for an uplifting musical teddy bears picnic.
Sophie will be playing and singing a range of styles – from classical favourites to ragtime and a range of special teddy bear and picnic-inspired pieces on piano, harp and ukulele. Highlights from the concert include ‘Country Gardens,’ ‘Rondo Alla Turca,’ and ‘Pineapple Rag’ as well as nursery rhyme/singalong favourites.
This highly interactive show with games to be played will be a picnic for you and your favourite furry friend to remember!
With a Masters Degree from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Sophie is a professional pianist, composer, arranger, and accompanist. She enjoys working with babies and toddlers, regularly performing at playgroups, and works as a piano teacher in both primary and secondary schools. Favourite performance highlights include organising and performing in ‘New Works by Young Composers’ at the Sydney Opera House, and the performance of her operas ‘The White Cat’ and ‘Trilby’ at the Victorian Arts Centre. Sophie enjoys sharing her love of music with audiences of all ages, especially bringing this special teddy-bear picnic event to life – please bring a teddy friend along with you!
